Honestly until it's a tech based startup minimum experience is required even the knowledge of how the work flows is fine when it comes to startup. And if you aren't bombarded with responsibilities then you can try quitting your job. If not maybe start small alongside your job which can make you feel progressed and make you feel better about it. And moreover having a startup is more like managing risks. So I think being dedicated and consistent is what matters overall.
