I think VC is less risky cause if you invest 1 Cr in 100 startups, 2-3 will definitely return more than 100 Cr all together.

Yeah, it is similar to buying a Small Cap mutual funds. Individually they are risky, so buy MFs of Small Caps. Small money to each stock 70-80% flop 20% stocks will overperform and outrun the losses. A.k.a Power Law Curve
