This Bug Made DoorDash Millions! On July 7, 2022, customers of the American food delivery app called DoorDash got to order anything on the app for free due to a glitch. This led to people going crazy and ordering every expensive thing they could. People ordered things like 32-inch HD TVs, $6,500 worth of alcohol, $20,000 seafood, and much more. But those orders didn't end up being so free! As per their T&C, DoorDash reserves the right to automatically charge a user in the case of any payment issues. So according to this, they could charge them the whole amount. So what did DoorDash do? They didn't charge everyone but still ended up charging many orders, especially the HUGE ones. This led to a lot of people facing huge charges, and some going bankrupt 🤦🏻
