"Nokia's Iphone Killer helped kill itself " Billions To Bankruptcy #2 Most Selling Mobile phone to Failure(Nokia) In 1998, Nokia was the fast selling mobile brands globally.Nokia’s profit was about 4 billion in 1999. In 2007 Apple came up with iPhone & disrupted the market and gained popularity very quickly. To compete with apple Nokia released N97 mobile and told it is the Iphone killer but it helped kill nokia. Nokia was hesitant to upgrade to Android because it believed Android was not the future.Nokia’s market share fell from 50% to 5%. To compete again Nokia moved to the Windows Phone platform through a strategic partnership with Microsoft in 2011 but it was not a success. Then Microsoft acquired Nokia in 2014 but Microsoft struggled, leading their exit from the market.Nokia re-entered the market under HMD Global using Android. This move has seen moderate success, leveraging the brand's legacy and Android's widespread acceptance.
