However, Apple saw the potential in this technology and decided to integrate it into their products. Apple's acquisition propelled Siri from a promising startup project to a core feature integrated into millions of Apple devices worldwide. A year later, in October 2011, Siri made its debut as a built-in feature on the iPhone 4S.
