But how can anyone make a platform around a payment mechanism. Think about a society when cheque book system came for the first time. How could someone thought of building a business around it. I guess, UPI is just an ease, and not a trait or technology. Another way to say this is - now it is possible to deliver on all pincodes across India. How can Ambani, Adani build a business around it? They cannot. It is a function of any company or business to deliver goods or receive payments from customers. You can leverage it, but cannot bulild a business around it. Though Ambani has a greater chance to leverage than Adani, because former has more B2C businesses than latter.

Yes, true, that's why I am saying no one knows other than what existing giants are offering. As much as about the point of making a platform around it, I think it's time to rethink the entire structure of fintech and social commerce in India. Fintech and social commerce combined can move mountains, as people are more likely to spend on trustable things. And yeah, the 'social' in social commerce provides that trust. Let's see how far my hypothesis can go. Thanks for the thoughtful reply.
