Adani's eyes on UPI Ambani's eyes on UPI But these guys don't know what to offer customers other than what existing giants are offering. Everyone knows UPI is big and wants a share of the cake but no one knows how to build a consumer/user-centric platform. After all, UPI for consumers is much bigger than for business but no one knows how to make monetization out of Indians using UPI.

But how can anyone make a platform around a payment mechanism. Think about a society when cheque book system came for the first time. How could someone thought of building a business around it. I guess, UPI is just an ease, and not a trait or technology. Another way to say this is - now it is possible to deliver on all pincodes across India. How can Ambani, Adani build a business around it? They cannot. It is a function of any company or business to deliver goods or receive payments from customers. You can leverage it, but cannot bulild a business around it. Though Ambani has a greater chance to leverage than Adani, because former has more B2C businesses than latter.
