Unfortunately, this kind of thing is becoming more common in startups where the CEO has an overblown sense of control. It's like they forget we're humans and not just productivity machines. I'd suggest documenting everything and having a collective meeting with him to express your concerns. If things don't change, it might be time to look for a new job where you're treated with respect.
