Global Chat in messages @Medial Well not all discussions require a post but we can have a global chat hidden inside our messages section where the online users can have casual discussions

Global chats would only work till the userbase is small. At a certain point there’ll be so many messages that people won’t be able to follow.

Discord would have been dead long back if this was the case. Engagement is not limited to just posts in a community. People would end up creating a whatsapp group or even a discord channel who are an active part of medial to have their group discussions because they wouldn’t want to have that discussion as a post thus driving away the userbase. Messages here should be expanded to global chat, group chats to ensure the userbase isn’t distributed to other apps.
