Honestly, that's becoming a somewhat common bait-and-switch tactic, especially with early stage startups looking to get cheap labor. They entice people with the dream opportunity, make them grind for 2-3 months under the guise of "training", and then either lowball the full-time offer or cut them loose. It's gross.
