Hey guys, listen up! I've got an awesome story to share! Have you ever come across the "Clear Craze"? I'm talking about the marketing trend that took the US by storm And the best part? Every brand wanted to be part of this from beer to Nintendo to Apple. It was insane! In 1992, Pepsi launched "Crystal Pepsi" and promoted it at Super Bowl However, despite generating sales of a whopping $474 million, Crystal Pepsi failed. The product had two problems. Firstly, the clear bottle used for marketing caused the drink to react with the sun, making it taste similar to shoe polish. Secondly, the drink was marketed as a diet drink, but it had 130cl Coca-Cola launched TAB CLEAR,to kill their competitor They used the KAMIKAZI stratergy. And this strategy split the market and confused people about what a clear drink was supposed to be - healthy or normal? This led to a decline in the craze. So there you have it, folks - a cautionary tale about marketing and the dangers of jumping on a trend.
