Cafe coffee day - India's beloved coffee brand! Well everyone knows about one of the most precious and renowned company thatz CCD. The story is much more than just a tale but a commercial success. It is story of resilience, Willpower, redemption and adaptation. After the the visionary creator of CCD, VG Siddhartha tragically passed by killing himself due a very huge debt of Rs7000 cr. Initially his wife Malavika hegde, took over the company's responsibility and renegotiated the non operational debts. She adopted a risk taking tactics instead of raising price. She reduced expenses and streamlined operations,by eliminating hundreds of coffee machine and closing unprofitable location, displaying her determination to restore the CCDs financial stability. She became the ray of hope for the CCD by Guiding through hardships and reviving it's core. Notably the company's debt was reduced and recovered via mindtree stock sales and partnership with US private equity behemoth Blackstone.
