Suez canal - I believe each and everyone who have interest in geopolitics have heard this name and why it's so important. And you all must be aware of the fact that this canal is surrounded by unstable and anti west governments. However this is not the story of Suez canal, this is the story of "Djibouti" - a country almost 99.99% of you all have never ever heard of this is the only stable land located at the choke point of Suez canal from where 3.5 million barrels of oil passes a day and almost 12% of global trade, thus serving a perfect strategic location. And almost 95% of total trade of Ethopia happens through Djibouti as Ethopia is a landlocked country with a large population. And despite all this Djibouti has almost no resources even have very little farmland. Its economy is dependent on the land it has given on lease to foreign powers like USA, China, Germany, Japan, France, Spain, Italy etc, yes all these countries have thier bases in Djibouti. Except Russia. Thank you
