Most businesses do not generate revenue by directly selling the main product. They find alternate ways. Theatres make money in India by selling popcorns. They feed us popcorn along with entertainment to pay the production house. So ultimately it is the popcorn that pays the film crew Similarly, it is passengers hunger and comfortable legroom in a flight that pays a pilot Today we have services that we pay extra to use, watch or listen without an ad. As a customer/user, what makes us pay more for an already available business? Is it convenience, a status symbol or is there some other reason behind? Do you think several other services like Ola, Oyo, Meesho, Zudio, Groww, Byjus, etc can have alternate business?
