People who express fear or concern about AI are not necessarily afraid of the technology itself, but rather apprehensive about their own ability to adapt to the changes it may bring.
I disagree with your statement. Surveillance and privacy can be controlled by Authorization. Job replacement is same as fear of being fungible but can be avoided if one is willing to adapt.
