The idea of being a founder these days are frivolous . The only aim these days people have is getting rich . But the real mission of a founder is to create the world a better place to live. People confuse the role of a CEO and founder . Fall in love with the problem . This would be the first character to be a founder . If you fall in love with the money first . Then probably you would not meet resilience, presiverance and growth .

FOMO is one of the biggest reason and then people are mislead by the YouTube guru and influencers. Success doesn't happen overnight, it's years of struggle and you need to hustle every single day. People need to be aware of the dark side too. 90% of the business fail !!

Me too. I also want to be a founder. But am not aiming or focused on money making. Rather I just want to change something that is good to society(I don't know how😅). My main goal is to increase the economy of the country and increase employment as much as possible.

For me the problem is 1) Bad education system. These degrees won't give us anything. YouTube is much better than them 2) jobs don't actually makes sense 3)

I agree with you to some extent, though if had to point out one reason being poor availability/Quality of jobs in India, that’s a huge thing I felt, somewhere, somehow everyone’s trying to escape the race (before even getting in) well nothing wrong in it, but validation is also a reason. They might not even move from their couches but might just want validation. (Not all ofc)

How should one elaluate themselves logically if they can be a good founder or maybe indentify the qualities of founders in them?

Hey I'm a 17yr old , and have co founded a content marketing startup with 2 of my friends and honestly we totally did it for the sole purpose to buy expensive shit, i personally bought the ipad of my dreams , watches and sneakers and we only and only started this coz of our kust for money Rn our team is of 15 folks and we have fair bit of experience of running this, we got sponsored by redbull last winter too

Question is where are you seeing these youngsters? Are you specifically picking out a stat? Or based on any other data

With Movies of founders, being so glorified. What else do we expect. Unfortunately, these movies dont stress enough on the failure and/or the research part, that is mostly a monologue "Success" themed and boosts adrenalin, especially young kids. Few understand the game and build others procrastinate.

You can't build something in your first try. So just try, fail, improve and try again. That's why I think youngsters want to be founders. learning rate is faster when working on anything rather than just reading and thinking.

It's like they've watched one too many "startup wala" movies and think being a founder automatically comes with a cool hat and a magical chai-making robot! Who needs experience when you've got a smartphone full of motivational quotes and a stash of instant noodles for those late-night brainstorming marathons?

Yeah! Many need industry experience first.

1. I think we see ourselves as a leader (this idea of being leader might have developed during schools days or college days ,where we took responsibilies to conduct any activity) . 2. Having thoughts of not taking Commands from a BOSS (this is Egoistic). 3. Having great enthusiasm to bring a change or solve a problem in day to day life ,these thoughts naturally makes them founder.

That's why, Every time I say as a BUILDING PARTNER even I have that So called "Co-founder" tag. I do not go for fantasy of these tags but to introduce ourselves.. It will play a crucial role to be honest. But yeah! Once really that youngster is generating revenue out of it.. Then it truly validates that Co-founder tag even he is 8 years old..

I partially agree! It's common for young people to aspire to be founders as a means of seeking validation and a sense of achievement, often without fully grasping the required skills and experience.

Because Founder is Founder. CEO is Employee 😉
