Maybe my commonsense needs to be polished a bit. But Meta was just questioned, there is no proof that they actually pushed for one political party. Facebook used to allow users to extract their followers data. Some people in cambridge found a loophole and harvested more data than they were supposed to and one of the people in that team used that data to push adds for pro TRump campaign. And u dont know that utube can also influence peoples minds. And youtube does predominantly more damage, as user is expected to spend more time on a single topic longer. The algorithms for all these social platforms are designed in a certain fashion. Consider u r neutral with slight inclination towards modi. Then u will be tested on both data And depending upon the kinda data u react to the algorithm tries to show more relevant data and polarise u. Once u r polarised then its job becomes easy.. Well yes there is always this political risk aspect…
