US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE allegations against monopolistic nature of APPLE. 5 Major allegations 1. blocks cross-platform messaging apps 2. suppresses mobile cloud streaming services 3. limits how well third-party smartwatches work on its platforms 4. limits third-party digital wallets 5. blocks “super” apps(Wechat, alipay which have mutliple features like messaging, Brokerage etc) From a capitalist perspective I feel like they have worked on it For Decades and invested billions of dollars over the years. And they deserve to enjoy the market leader position.. But monopoly is veryy bad for the industry and the consumer too. As a business enthusiast i like hw apple plays with consumers head. But it aint correct. If the entry barrier is very high And restrictive new players cant enter unless something revolutionary comes like (LLMs to tackle browsers monopoly). I felt the same way after looking at unreal engine 5 demo. Have u tried using 3rd party devices with apple devices? Howsit?
