Some common things are comfort, stretchability and durability. See, in my opinion, those who bother to go to the gym are mostly two types - one who likes to do so and another who's lazily spending money on gym membership. In either case, if they bother to buy a good pair of gym apparel, price won't be a factor for them much. They value quality over price. So you can price a little higher and provide more features to your clothing, which usually lack (I may also have a lack of knowledge of existence of such startups) in others. Like big pockets so that the phone fits completely into it, extra layering to avoid camel toe, seamlessness, extra soft fabric for men to avoid friction while running and a lot like that. You better talk with gym lovers in your locality and they'll be able to shed more light.
