A good service which people will use for long. And if the membership fees is less than the PERCEIVED value of the product, then it may work

I think most imp part for a subscription model is to make people habitual to your services and your service should actually solve their problem.. Thirdly, you need to be better in some way from your competitor and analyse their price point and yours.
