Am a south indian.. I saw multiple stats about majority of north india is veg and they prefer pure veg restaurants over mixed restaurants.. Maybe zomato might have found some stats about how big this TAM is and they already have an entire system in place.. this is just an extra condition for them In the fleet.. At the end of the day any company at the level of zomato if they are entering into a new space they must have seen a huge underserved sector i.e., there is a market gap here.. This is what i can infer.. What do u think??

I don't know, I feel Zomato is doing good but not potentially very well, maybe this is just gonna increase their expenses and you know I have a lot of friends who order non veg but are from veg family, they just simply are planning to delete Zomato as they'll get caught..I feel there could be many other people like this or for whatever reasons they might not prefer this...instead they could just a mode, in which u can select pure veg restaurants and not do this Jersey type things.
