Heard about this LinkedIN scam where companies post job posts to farm followers and engagement. How true can this be?

Thats true most of the jobs on LinkedIn are dummy, the applications for these jobs end up in a no-reply mail box. Recruiters hardly respond to jobs applications applied from LinkedIn
