Some basics I think founders should think of before starting a VC fundable business - Why is my business VC fundable? Can I achieve the numbers said above? - Why do I think there is a potential to generate 1000 Cr revenue? How will the breakup look?

- How do I calculate the real market size for my product? e.g. - What do you think is the market size for the Apple iPhone? For starters, no the market size is not the whole population of the world. - What will be the unit economics of this business? Where did you collate the data from and what backing do you have that suggests that this might be true? eg - What do you think is the average marketing spend as a % of revenue for a D2C brand? If you show a lower %ge why do you think that will be the case for you? 3. The answers to the above questions will also give you the answer to what slides should be shown on the deck.

4. Some learings from the startups I have invested in - - If you ask if someone has a problem and if they want a solution. They will always say yes. The key question is how deep is the problem for them and will they pay for it? - Insight generation depends on asking the right questions not leading questions. e.g- If I ask you do you think you like your home clean? you will say yes. Do you think a robot that can clean will be of interest to you? The answer will be yes. So a cleaning robot is a great idea, but it failed. Can you identify the problem here?

Do you know? Lot size is different for different stocks in India. In US, it is uniformly 100. So the lot size for Berkshire is US$50 million. If same rule applied here, then what will be MRF lot size?
