Networking hardware-maker Zyxel has issued a warning about nearly a dozen vulnerabilities in their products. These vulnerabilities, if left unpatched, could lead to complete takeover of devices and provide an initial entry point for attackers into large networks. The most severe vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to execute OS commands by sending a crafted cookie to affected devices. Other vulnerabilities include buffer overflows, command injection, and cross-site scripting, affecting different Zyxel firewall series and other product models. Zyxel advises customers to patch these vulnerabilities as soon as possible. Attackers have actively targeted Zyxel devices in the past.
