This $360K raise follows a $500K seed round in October 2024, backed by Expert Dojo, Agility Ventures, Sunn91 Ventures, government seed schemes, and angels like Nitish Mittersain and Ahana Gautam—bringing Lifechart’s total funding to over $1 million. Co-founded in 2022 by Mukul Shah and Mansi Sharma, Guttify is a gut health brand designed for India’s urban population (tier I and III cities), and it adopts a diagnosis-first approach. It offers DIY at-home gut testing kits and clinically validated solutions that combine modern science with herbal methods. Its first product, a pH saliva testing kit for acidity, is already live, with more kits priced as low as Rs 99 set to launch in the coming months. Guttify aims to empower every Indian with accessible, accurate, and personalized gut health solutions—grounded in science, enabled by technology, and inspired by Ayurveda. Lifechart and Guttify aspire to build a full-stack science-backed gut wellness ecosystem to address the urgent and widespread gut health crisis in India. According to market research, the Indian gut wellness market is projected at $18 billion and over 60% of the Indian population suffers from digestive issues.

Online travel aggregator (OTA) platform EaseMyTrip has acquired a 30% stake in Rollins International and a 49% stake in Pflege Home Healthcare to enter the medical tourism market. The board of directors at EaseMyTrip has approved the acquisition of Rollins International (30%) and Pflege Home Healthcare (49%) at a consideration of Rs 60 crore and Rs 30 crore, respectively, the company’s disclosure accessed from the National Stock Exchange shows. According to the filings, the consideration of Rs 90 crore will be paid to Rollins and Pflege in the form of an equity swap i.e. issuance of EaseMyTrip’s shares. “The acquisition is a strategic expansion into the rapidly growing medical tourism sector and align with EaseMyTrip’s mission to offer holistic travel solutions by integrating wellness and healthcare services into its service portfolio as medical tourism.” the company added in the disclosure. Pflege Healthcare is a UAE-based medical tourism provider which offers international patients access to treatments worldwide with partnerships across top-tier medical institutions and leading hotel chains. Rollins International is a subsidiary of Singapore-based RHA Holding which focuses on wellness, healthcare, and consumer products such as gluten and lactose-free food products, allergen-free health supplements, wellness therapies and treatments. Earlier this month, EaseMyTrip’s board also approved the proposal for the manufacturing of electric buses. Over the years, the company expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of several firms in the travel and hospitality sectors, including Guideline Travels Holidays, TripShope Travel Technologies, and Dook Travels last year. The Nishant Pitti-led firm recorded a 6.8% quarter-on-quarter decrease in its revenue to Rs 152.6 crore in the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year as compared to Rs 164 crore in Q4 FY24. A slight decline in scale led EasyMyTrips’s profits to down by 13% to Rs 33.92 crore in the same period.

Insurance Samadhan, an insurance grievance redressal platform, has raised Rs 8.5 crore in a strategic funding round from a group of strategic family offices, with Innovito Ventures as the financial advisor. Since its inception, the integrated platform has raised over $4.58 million through multiple funding rounds led by investors like Equanimity Investments, 100 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, and IIFL Finance. The fresh funds will be utilized to strengthen its technology infrastructure and expand product offerings, including its flagship “Know Your Policy” feature, Insurance Samadhan said in a press release. Co-founded in 2018 by Deepak Bhuvneshwari Uniyal, Shailesh Kumar, and Sanjay H Aggarwal, Insurance Samadhan simplifies and digitizes traditionally paper-heavy insurance processes, enabling seamless digital experiences. The platform aims to support policyholders, insurance advisors, hospitals, and insurance companies, and gradually help India increase its penetration rate. According to market research, India's insurance industry is growing at about 7% annually and the insurance penetration rate remains low at just 3%. The company claims to have resolved over 18,000 insurance complaints and helped policyholders recover claims worth Rs 160 crore. The startup’s flagship Polifyx app has also helped reduce the turnaround time for insurance grievance resolution by 55%, down from the earlier 60 days. Insurance Samadhan’s “Know Your Policy" feature which aspires to address critical issues like misselling and claim rejection. By strengthening digital capabilities, it plans to improve the reach and accessibility of insurance products.

CollegeDekho secures Rs 40 Cr debt funding from Recur Club CollegeDekho, an online platform that helps students choose the right college, has secured a structured debt funding of Rs 40 crore from debt marketplace Recur Club. Early in this month, the company had raised Rs 30 crore (around $3.5 million) from Lighthouse Canton. In December 2021, it also closed a $35 million Series B round led by Winter Capital, ETS Strategic Capital, Calega, and Man Capital. The proceeds will be allocated towards driving growth, enhancing technological advancements, and ensuring operations as the company prepares for the upcoming admission season, CollegeDekho said in a press release. Co-founded in 2015 by Ruchir Arora, Rohit Saha, and Saurabh Jain, CollegeDekho offers an online platform for college discovery, enrollment, and learning. The company provides students with information about colleges, courses, and careers, and helps them find suitable programs. The platform also offers B2B solutions to colleges, including digital marketing and student recruitment services. It helps universities and colleges to offer future-skill-orientated degrees, thereby enhancing the student’s overall learning experience and equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the job market. “At Recur Club, we recognise the crucial role of platforms like CollegeDekho, which is dedicated to enhancing higher education guidance in India. Supporting CollegeDekho highlights our commitment to promoting growth strategies that benefit educational institutions,” said Eklavya Gupta, co-founder & CEO of Recur Club. As per market research, India's higher education sector is projected to triple from $55 billion in 2023 to $180 billion by 2035. Over the years, CollegeDekho claims to have offered data on over 35,000 colleges and various courses. In the past year alone, it recorded more than 225 million website sessions and provided free guidance to nearly 4 million students, helping 60% of India’s private college admits. It has facilitated over 200,000 college admissions in the last seven years, contributing upwards of Rs 5,000 crore in fee income to its partner higher education institutions. In its latest financial results, CollegeDekho saw a 32.2% increase in revenue to Rs 215.6 crore in FY24 from Rs 163 crore in FY23.

Direct-to-consumer (D2C) health and wellness brand Traya has raised Rs 75 crore from Xponentia Capital. The fresh round has come for the Mumbai-based company after a hiatus of 2 years. The proceeds will be used to mark a pivotal moment toward its mission to take its clinically proven hair growth treatment to the masses. The company said in a press release. Established in 2019, Traya focuses on addressing hair loss at its core by identifying the underlying causes. It provides personalized hair solutions and guidance from a team of experienced hair coaches and physicians. The company also claims to have a user base of over 10 lakh customers. Besides its own web and mobile apps, the firm leverages third-party marketplaces such as Fl; Flipkart and Amazon for distribution. As per startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Traya has raised a total of Rs 20.75 crore to date including its $2 million from Fireside Ventures and other backers. Last year, Xponentia announced its final closure of Xponentia Opportunities Fund – II at Rs 1,095 crore. Its notable investments include Auxilo Finserve, The Souled Store, Zype Fintech, R4Rabbit Baby Products, and Easy Home Finance among others. The significant funding came on the back of its impressive financial performance in the last fiscal year. The company’s operating scale blew 8.2X to Rs 61.67 crore in FY23 from Rs 6.98 crore in FY22. However, the firm’s losses stood at Rs 27.83 crore in the same period.
