Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu–backed perfume brand Secret Alchemist has raised $3 million in a funding round led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from DSG Consumer Partners. The round was a mix of primary and secondary capital, of which $2.5 million was primary capital and the remainder was secondary, with a few early angel investors selling their stakes. The Mumbai-based startup had previously mopped up $898,000 in a seed funding round led by IPV and others. The proceeds will be utilised for branding and marketing, widening its product portfolio, and expanding the team, Secret Alchemist said in a press release. Co-founded in 2022 by Ankita Thadani, Akash Valia, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Secret Alchemist is a clean fragrance and aromatherapy brand that focuses on transparent, toxin-free perfumes and wellness products derived from natural ingredients and aromatherapy principles. Secret Alchemist aims to provide holistic wellness through nature-meets-science formulations, addressing the root causes of skin and hair concerns with pure essential oils and transparent ingredients. The brand offers clean perfumes, skincare, haircare, and aromatherapy blends, emphasising purity, sustainability, and luxury. Secret Alchemist’s products are available on the company’s direct-to-consumer website, ecommerce platforms such as Amazon, and quick commerce apps, including Blinkit. The company plans to expand its presence across more websites and apps in the coming days.

The Delhi-based startup aspires to redefine how India discovers, experiences, and relates to fragrance. It strives to create story-rich perfumes that reflect the moods, aspirations, and evolving lifestyle of a new India. All concepts are developed in-house by a team of aficionados to create scents like Baked Vanilla, Drunken Cake, and Beach Holiday. According to market research, India’s perfume market is on a strong growth trajectory. Valued at $281 million in FY2024, it is projected to reach $873.3 million by FY2032, growing at a CAGR of 15.23% between FY2025 and FY2032. True Diamond raises $3 Mn led by India Quotient Lab-grown diamond jewelry brand True Diamond has raised Rs 26 crore ($3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by India Quotient along with participation from existing investors Titan Capital, Winners Fund, and Huddle Ventures. Prior to this, it had raised $1 million in a seed funding round led by Titan Capital, along with participation from Huddle Ventures, Zeropearl Ventures, and personal investments from Ashutosh Valani, Priyank Shah, Aashka Goradia Goble, Mamaearth founder Ghazal Alagh, Abhishek Goyal, and Anmol Jain. The proceeds will be used to accelerate its omnichannel strategy and focus on offline expansion, True Diamond said in a press release. Co-founded in 2024 by Darayus Mehta and Parin Shah, True Diamond aims to modernise the jewelry experience for contemporary Indian consumers. The brand focuses on design and material innovation, bold content, and accessible luxury. It has launched retail outlets in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Noida, with more stores planned across metro cities. The Mumbai-based company offers a variety of products, including rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, mangalsutras, bracelets, and tennis bracelets, among others. The startup also provides customized jewellery and men’s collections. True Diamond claims to have built a catalog of over 5,000 designs and achieved a 1.7x customer repeat rate. The brand offers innovative products with unique launches like over the 160 facet Portuguese diamonds, black diamonds, and many more.
