Interior discovery platform Roomstory.ai has raised Rs 3 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Rukam Sitara Fund along with participation from Bella Vita founder Aakash Anand and Wolfpack Labs. The proceeds will be used to enhance its AI capabilities, launch of website and mobile applications for a seamless digital user experience, and grow its user base while building a community of interior design enthusiasts, Roomstory said in a press release. Co-founded by Ekatva Jain, Sahil Lunia, and Punit Jain, Roomstory.ai is an AI-powered platform that allows users to explore beautifully styled rooms and instantly shop every item through direct links to retail partners, offering a seamless & a Pinterest-like experience. The platform focuses on inspiration-first commerce, bridging the gap between browsing and buying in the interior design space. According to Roomstory, it combines over a decade of design experience and over 100 completed interior projects with a tech-first approach to transform how people create and furnish their spaces. “Most interior platforms force you to choose between inspiration and shopping, we eliminate that divide. Roomstory doesn’t just show you a beautiful room; it hands you the exact tools to recreate it, wherever you prefer to shop,” said Ekatva Jain, Co-founder & CEO of Roomstory.ai. As per market research, globally, the home and interior shopping category is valued at over $800 billion, and in India, the interior design sector is expected to be valued at $38.2 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 30% between 2021 and 2027.
