Lifechart, a gut wellness brand, has successfully raised $500,000 in a seed funding round. Prajay Advisors LLP contributed $250,000, while the remaining amount came from Agility Ventures, Expert Dojo, and a group of angel investors, including Ahana Gautam, Nitish Mittersain, Sarath Sura, and Marwari Angels, through convertible instruments. Previously, Lifechart secured $200,000 in a pre-seed round in 2022 from Expert Dojo and Nazara Technologies’ Nitish Mittersain. The new funding will enhance Lifechart’s AI capabilities, launch proprietary diagnostic solutions, and develop a brand focused on tier 1 cities, the company said in a press release. Co-founded in 2022 by Mukul Shah and Mansi Sharma, Lifechart aims to tackle the increasing gut health issues in India by offering AI-driven predictive technology and products created by BAMS and BHMS doctors. The brand plans to introduce plant-based microbiome-focused products and comprehensive wellness kits targeting common gut issues like constipation, fatty liver, piles, gas, and acidity. With market research indicating the global gut health market could reach $18 billion by 2025-26, Lifechart’s initiatives position it to capture a significant share. Their predictive AI model aims to tailor services based on demographic and regional health patterns, having already impacted over 250,000 customers primarily in tier II, III, and IV cities.

It offers DIY at-home gut testing kits and clinically validated solutions that combine modern science with herbal methods. Its first product, a pH saliva testing kit for acidity, is already live, with more kits priced as low as Rs 99 set to launch in the coming months. Guttify aims to empower every Indian with accessible, accurate, and personalized gut health solutions—grounded in science, enabled by technology, and inspired by Ayurveda. Lifechart and Guttify aspire to build a full-stack science-backed gut wellness ecosystem to address the urgent and widespread gut health crisis in India. According to market research, the Indian gut wellness market is projected at $18 billion and over 60% of the Indian population suffers from digestive issues.

Delhi-based leg care brand Varco Leg Care has raised $500,000 (over Rs 4.5 crore) in Seed funding round led by Sunicon Maiden Fund, an early-stage venture fund curated by Sunicon Ventures. Prior to this, Varco Leg Care had raised a cumulative Rs 3.1 crore ($370,000) through its previous funding rounds. According to the company, its valuation has grown by 2x in the past 10 months. However, it did not disclose the numbers. Varco Leg Care will be utilizing the capital to strategically bolster capabilities across various fronts, which include enhancing offline touchpoints, advancing research and development (R&D) initiatives, and scaling and optimizing marketing efforts. Varco Leg Care aims to revolutionise leg health management by leveraging technology and clinical expertise. The firm has created a wide range of leg care products that address the end-to-end leg health needs of customers worldwide targeting health issues like varicose veins, diabetic foot, foot ulcer, and restless leg syndrome, among others. As per the company, it saw 110% increase in the brand’s revenue over the past year. Since its inception in 2022, Varco claims to have served more than 5 lakh customers, and expanded its presence to more than 3,000 medical stores across Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and other Indian cities. Varco’s products are available at organised retail outlets such as Guardian Pharmacy, Noble Plus, Wellness Forever, and others. On the online front, it sells its products through its own website, as well as via marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, 1mg, and others.
