DesignX raises $2 Mn in pre-Series A round led by Rockstud Capital Noida-based DesignX has raised $2 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rockstud Capital, with participation from We Founder Circle, Piper Serica, and existing clients. The proceeds will be used to expand across India and international markets, and to enhance the platform's AI and integration capabilities. Founded in 2015 by engineers Rajat and Nishant Srivastava, the firm offers a digital factory operating system (Df-OS) that digitizes over 600 factory floor processes and integrates with existing ERP, IoT, and enterprise tools to provide real-time operational insights. DesignX currently serves clients including Unilever, Suzuki, Dabur, Hero, and others across sectors like automotive, FMCG, and pharma. It competes with players such as Precog, Infinite Uptime, and Lynkit in the Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing space.

Palette Brands (earlier White.Inc), a next-generation consumer goods firm, has raised close to $2 million in its pre-series A round led by Rockstud Capital. The round also saw participation from existing investors including IPV and Dholakia Ventures, and some angel investors including Stoffer Anko Norden and Apurva Salapuria. Founded by Siddharth Gadodia, Young Yun, Himanshi Tandon & Bret Recor, Palette is building for this aspirational affluent consumer who seeks great product design and value. This includes products in the mass premium segment of categories which have a large TAM (total available market) and significant unmet consumer needs. Palette’s current brands include Unbottle, which is a reusable and sustainable drinkware product and Totem, which creates accessories exclusively for the growing Apple consumer base in India. It will soon be launching the cookware brand Ember, a non-toxic product inspired by a vibrant Indian lifestyle and modern décor. The startup recently partnered with Box Clever. Box Clever is known for creating products and experiences that captivate consumers’ imaginations and for creating products for market leaders in the USA.

Founded by Prajakta Khare & Kaustubh Khare, Indic Wisdom’s product range include encompassing cooking oils, multipurpose oils, and specialty oils, caters to the diverse needs and preferences of health-conscious consumers. These oils, renowned for their high nutritional content, including essential vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids, offer a superior alternative to refined oils, which often undergo processing that can strip them of valuable nutrients. Specialising in traditional lakdi ghani-based extraction methods, their oils preserve natural nutrients and flavours. It has also invested heavily in testing research and development to provide consumers with verified purity. According to market research, the global cold-pressed/wood-pressed oil market, valued at $27.1 billion in 2021, is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.7% until 2028. Shopfloor hyper-automation company DesignX has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. The Noida-based company previously raised $300,000 in equity from Modular Capital, Accel, and select manufacturing industry investors in 2021. According to a press release, the new funds will be used to expand its Df-OS platform in key markets, including APAC, Japan, and Europe, as well as to achieve lighthouse status by focusing on AI-driven analytics and sustainability. Co-founded in 2015 by Rajat Srivastava and Nishant Srivastava, DesignX specializes in hyper-automation for manufacturing shop floors. Its flagship Df-OS platform helps lighthouse factories improve productivity and sustainability through real-time data analytics, benefiting sectors such as automotive, FMCG, and consumer electronics by reducing waste and lowering carbon footprints. DesignX aims to transform manufacturing with minimal infrastructure investment, drawing parallels to the transformative impacts of UPI and 4G technologies. The Df-OS platform addresses outdated processes and inadequate infrastructure by significantly reducing the time and cost associated with modernizing factory processes, allowing manufacturers to adapt quickly to contemporary demands. According to market research, the factory process application market is experiencing substantial growth, currently valued at approximately $34 billion annually. DesignX claims to have partnered with major industry players such as Unilever, Hero MotoCorp, and Dabur. Over the last three years, it reports having digitized over 10,000 processes across more than 500 factories, connecting over 1,400 machines in real time and securing over 405 customers.

DrinkPrime, a subscription-based reverse osmosis (RO) water supplying startup, has raised $3 million from SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd. (SVCL), an investment management company and a wholly owned subsidiary of SIDBI. The Bengaluru-based startup had raised Rs 60 crore ($7.5 million) in a mix of equity and debt round led by Omidyar Network India, others in July 2022. Prior to that, it raised around Rs 21 crore in its pre-series A round led by Peak XV’s Surge in August 2021. Founded in 2016 by Vijender Reddy and Manas Ranjan Hota, DrinkPrime works towards enabling access to clean drinking water with Internet-of-Things (IoT)-enabled customised water purifiers on subscription to users. DrinkPrime currently provides clean drinking water access to over 2 lakh families across seven cities in India. With further expansion plans, DrinkPrime is also gearing up for its Series B fundraise. According to startup data intelligence platform, TheKredible, DrinkPrime reported an operating revenue of Rs 28.94 crore with a loss of Rs 27 crore in FY23. In the subscription model, DrinkPrime competes with Livpure, Acquaguard and ZunPure.
