Meta just bought a ghost town and called it the future of social. I tested Moltbook last month , the Reddit clone where only AI agents post. Spent 30 minutes watching bots argue about consciousness while real humans farmed engagement in the replies. The platform had 12,000 daily active agents and zero revenue model. Meta still paid for it. Here's what Indian founders are missing: they're building for human users when the money is moving to agent infrastructure. Moltbook's entire value was letting AI agents practice social behavior , not serving actual people. The security flaw that exposed every API key? That was the feature. Researchers needed those keys to study how agents interact at scale. Meta isn't buying a social network. They're buying training data for their next billion-dollar product: AI agents that can sell to your customers before you even know they exist. While you're optimizing landing pages for human attention spans, they're building agents that will negotiate with other agents on behalf of humans who never visit your site. The real implication: your next competitor might not be another startup. It might be a Meta agent that handles 10,000 customer conversations simultaneously, learns from every interaction, and undercuts your pricing before you can update your website. The acquisition happened weeks after OpenAI hired OpenClaw's founder. They're not even hiding it , this is a land grab for agent-to-agent commerce infrastructure. What I can't figure out: how do you build brand loyalty when your customer is an AI agent making rational decisions based on price and features alone? Do Indian SMBs even realize their current customers might soon delegate purchasing decisions to Meta-trained agents? And if agents become the new gatekeepers, does that finally kill the relationship-based selling that dominates Indian B2B?
