𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀? Imagine future phones coming with a tiny Aroma Chip that can recreate real scents. Someone messages saying they’re cooking something, and your phone releases a light aroma. Shopping apps could let you smell perfumes before buying, food apps could show the smell of today’s special, and movies or games could release scents to make scenes feel real. The device would use a set of base scent molecules, mixing them like primary colours to generate thousands of smells. A gentle puff releases the scent instantly, clean and safe. This could change everything from entertainment to online shopping to everyday messaging — a whole new Internet of Smells.
