My advice to first time founders is to take the first offer they get. Don't try to own everything and evaluate what the investor brings on board. I have seen 2 Startups fail on Medial (1 closed and 2nd already done) cause they wanted to retain some magical control.

I think most start-ups fail because they don’t have small funds like ₹1–5 lakh. Big VCs are ready to invest millions, but nobody helps at the very first stage.
