Visuals only work when users understand them. If someone can’t recognize an icon instantly, it should at least be easy to learn with a little use. Always test your visuals, make sure they’re clear or learnable, and when in doubt, use standard icons with thoughtful tweaks. Be unique in areas that don’t hurt clarity. Still, keep experimenting and figuring out what works best 🐣
