Every WhatsApp group needs one rule: no nonsense. If you’re a startup founder, I’m sure you’re part of at least 10 different WhatsApp groups. Investor communities, founder circles, product discussions… you name it. And let’s be honest, most of them are *chaotic*. Someone randomly drops a YouTube link. Another shares a video with no caption. And just like that, 1024 people lose a few seconds of focus multiplied by hundreds of similar distractions every week. But I’m also part of a few groups where the admin actually enforces discipline. If you post anything irrelevant, your message gets deleted. Do it twice or thrice, and you’re out. No drama. No explanations. Just order. Honestly, I love that. Because not every group needs to be “fun” or “active.” Some groups just need to be useful. If you manage a professional or founder community, try this. It might be the only way to keep conversations meaningful in the long run.

A startup is a group of people united by a shared vision. They will pivot soon! As a founder, be mentally ready. You can't impose anything on them.

Every founder during a pitch: ‘Our product is revolutionary. No competitors. $10B market. Just need $5M to take over the world.’ Every investor: nods while Googling ‘how to politely say no’.
