what's your confidence in C++? how complex and low latency code you can write. next depends on your curiosity. you can either dive deeper into system design, Operating system, take real life use case and judge is complexity. it does not matter what's the next step and how updated you are with the mainstream stack. market is very open now. you can explore a lot in 1 year. from the end of 3rd year or nearby 4th year starting you can focus on Learning from job perspective.
