There was a time when you didn’t need a calendar to know Diwali was coming. The air told you. The smell of frying besan and melting ghee did the talking. Now the air smells like room freshener and the Diwali playlist starts on Spotify, not in the courtyard. We used to wait for homemade chaklis and namakparas; now we scroll through “Diwali Gift Hampers - 60% Off.” We’ve traded a pinch of elaichi for a packet of branding. We call it convenience. But maybe it’s just distance, from the fire, the food, and the feeling. Festivals were never about what we bought, they were about what we made. Together. So this Diwali, don’t worry about being “traditional.” Just make one thing with your own hands. Even if it’s just a simple meal. Because sometimes, the shortest route back to joy is through the kitchen. Maybe Diwali didn’t lose its charm. We just stopped participating. Wishing everyone from Team Nex2Habit and Team Sunday FEK, a Very Happy 'Apni' Wali Diwali 🪔 #FounderPOV
