When Awareness Isn’t Enough We’re often told to stay alert about online scams and frauds — and yes, awareness is important. Authorities share helpline numbers like 1930 and provide email IDs to report such incidents. But what happens when no action follows? Recently, I was approached by a so-called company named Digivision Solutions, claiming they could connect us with international buyers for furniture exports. We agreed to work on a commission basis, but soon their behavior turned suspicious. I did everything right — I reported the issue, emailed multiple officers, and even tried calling 1930, but every time the line only said, “We are busy.” Awareness is one part of the system. Accountability and responsiveness are the other — and that’s where we’re still struggling. If small business owners or startups can’t get timely help when scammed or threatened, how are we supposed to feel protected in the digital business space? It’s time to work on another step -
