Hi, I’m Anmol Raj Sharma, currently working on an idea that I believe can transform how we consume and trust news. The Problem: Trust in media is collapsing—only about 32% of people trust the news they consume. False information spreads six times faster than facts online, while local journalism continues to decline, creating “news deserts.” People today want to fact-check, interact, and participate, but no transparent and reliable platform exists to enable this. The Solution – Narad Narad is a verified, citizen-driven news platform where authenticated users can share news and information through text, images, or videos. Every post is categorized by genre and location (via GPS), so local stories stay local while impactful news reaches national or global audiences. We are integrating AI-powered fact-checking to reduce misinformation and give users access to deeper context and sources. Users can also comment, fact-check, and flag content, creating a transparent and community-driven ecosystem. Authentic contributors are rewarded through recognition, credits, and even revenue-sharing.
