Hey Rohit hope you’re doing great, I actually had a very similar idea back in junior college, so this resonates with me. One of the main challenges I noticed is that farmers usually produce a single crop in large quantities, not a mix of different vegetables at the same time. For example, a farmer might grow tomatoes or onions, but not both, since each crop needs specific soil, fertilizers, and a few months of growth time. This creates two issues: 1. Surplus of one item – A farmer may harvest, say, 1,000 kg of tomatoes, but selling in small portions (like 5 kg each) isn’t feasible or profitable. If even 10% of that spoils, the farmer loses significantly. 2. Dependency on middlemen – Middlemen often demand exclusivity, forcing farmers to sell their entire produce to them. Farmers can’t split sales between middlemen and direct buyers, so they’re stuck.
