Let's try to understand this scenario — For educational purpose. so, Medial launched startup showcase a year ago with highest prices amount and since than than it has gradually seen decline. What was the purpose? • For Users: It was a feature to showcase their startup idea to others, get feedback, and earn prize to use on building startup. • For Medial: everything 'for users' with addition to help Medial company to gain more users, revenue and reputation. What happened? A) Majority of the users who won the startup showcase and the majority of the overall happened all didn't show much interest towards building startup rather than just to earn some cash. tho there was and is, in minority people who genuinely received helpful feedback, recognition and used prize money in building their startup. But due to them being in minority and not much helpful for the Medial company in perspective of business. they decided to reduce the prize. (it's my personal theory)
