This is just basic scientific method repackaged as business guru wisdom. Every scientist and engineer already does this - question assumptions, test hypotheses, iterate. Musk didn't invent critical thinking, he just had the capital and team to execute on aerospace engineering principles that existed for decades.

You are right, it is the scientific method at its core. But most people never apply it to business or startups, they just copy what already exists. The real power is in stripping things down to the basics and then rebuilding with a clear purpose. That is what Musk showed that when you do it with clarity and direction, you can flip entire industries.
