Google’s $6B (₹52,000 cr) 1 GW hyperscale campus in Visakhapatnam is more than a single project. It shows India’s data centre curve is about to steepen, with capacity set to grow 3–4x from 1.3 GW today to 4–5 GW by 2030. Analysts expect another $20–25B to flow in. Vizag already has a huge pipeline: • Google ₹52,000 cr, 20k jobs • Adani ₹21,800 cr, 50k jobs • Sattva ₹1,500 cr, 25k jobs • ANSR ₹1,000 cr, 10k jobs • Sify ₹15,000 cr (550 MW) • Cognizant ₹1,583 cr, 8k jobs That’s ~₹92,000 cr committed and ~1.13 lakh jobs. Real estate, housing, offices and logistics will rise around it, turning Vizag into a tech and infrastructure hub. For Andhra Pradesh the opportunity is clear: strengthen power, renewables, talent and urban infrastructure. If that’s done well, Vizag could become the digital capital of India’s east coast within five years.
