1. People pay because it works! - so people pay for alcohol, cigarettes, betting - are all good? NO. - its all about quality sir, not quantity - Raavan had ten heads, Raam had just one. 2. Just because the market is flooded with incompetent astrologers, doesn't convey that it doesn't work. - not incompetent; but bad businessmen may be - a person who calls himself an astrologer is incompetent by default 3. I believe in Karma, but there's something called luck, and I find astrology is the roadmap - exactly, its all about coincidence (luch as u say) - never believe in coincidences - sharir, samaaj, and sanyog; three things to not believe on 4. Your thoughts of being aware and curious is very true, but that's difficult, not everyone can do it, so if astrology can guide someone maybe it's a win win! - If you agree that being aware and curious is good, then we can not bring astrology to the same line - they are both inversely proportional 5. And rest all, it's still a great debatable topic😀 - no doubt, it is 😂 - but I feel helpless when I see youth following the old rituals, blindly - there has to be a difference between a herd of sheep and a group of humans For reference - read what Swami Vivekananda has to say about astrology You may go to Jiddu Krishnamurti; Acharya Prashant; Ambedkar; Bhagat Singh for these things.
