AppleCare+ in India costs about ₹20,000 for two years, which is roughly ₹10,000 a year just to insure a phone. Globally, around 4% of iPhone users pay for this warranty. Now compare that with real life: a middle-class Indian family spends on average ₹20,000-₹30,000 a year to insure their health and well-being. Yet many don’t think twice before prioritising phone protection at half that cost. For many, an iPhone feels more urgent to safeguard than their own life or family’s health. That’s how powerful the iPhone’s role as a status symbol has become.

More than 90% of the Iphone are on EMI, even a 30,000₹-40,000₹ per month earner can afford an Apple phone. Can we still consider it as status symbol good?

if Google executes it really well while Apple remains in disarray in their AI strategy, I wonder iPhone may not seem "smart" phone compared to an Android in a couple of years.
