Founders who think VC's don't get their idea and that's why they got rejected, it is a 2 way street. A better approach would be to pitch to those who are interested in your space - industry and looking to fund or mentor such startups. Also, there is no such thing as Jack of all trades and master of none. There is no sector agnostic investor - just see how YC has gone 99% AI. Example - Someone building in D2C space cannot land a meeting with an Investor who is more B2B. I've learnt this lesson personally.
