**Day 55: I learned this the hard way.** You can’t build a startup with people who don’t *believe* in what you’re doing. Not really. I used to think skills were enough. “If they’re smart, they’ll figure it out.” But when things got hard (and they always do), those same people didn’t stick. Why? Because they weren’t *bought in.* Now I look for a different kind of teammate: Someone who asks questions. Who gives a damn. Who isn’t just there to “help” — they’re there to *build.* Startups are messy. You need builders, not spectators. Owners, not employees. The right people change *everything.* — A lesson from Day 55. #FounderJourney #StartupTruths #TeamMatters #BuildWithBelievers #NotJustEmployees #StartupLife #Day55

Most people who’ve tried turning their highly engaged WhatsApp/Discord group into an app have failed to recreate that same engagement. Probably because the friction of a new app is high, and people love the tool they’re using as much as (or more tha

Perhaps it is a sample bias but I now know 5 people personally who have 15-20 years of experience but are unemployed for 6+ months or took a massive salary cut. 40s are turning out to be hard for a lot of people on the career front.
