When we started an audit for a client, one small design decision caught our attention. They had built an Android app. But the mockups on the Android Play Store, website, and pitch decks? All showcased the app inside an *iPhone* frame. At first, it felt like a small oversight. But Manasi and I got curious, why showcase an Android app inside an iPhone mockup? So, we asked the founders. Their answer? “We don’t have an iOS app yet, but we both use iPhones. So, we just used iPhone mockups for convenience.” Now, this may seem like a minor thing. Most people would overlook it. But from a UX and trust perspective, it’s not negligible at all. Design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about being accurate, intuitive, and user-first. Your mockup should reflect what the user will actually experience. If your app is for Android, it should look like it's being used on an Android phone. Because your users aren’t founders. They don’t care what phone *you* use. They care about *their* experience. It’s a small tweak, but a powerful one. And this is exactly what a RevOps lens helps uncover, Not just revenue leaks, but experience leaks.
