That's where the need for the open source models and quality hardware (like those $3000 Nvidia Super Computer) will arrive. And Meta rn rules the market when it comes to Open Source models so that's when they'll win. Also imagine if companies instead starts charging to download models instead of making them completely free? In that case, again the Ai Companies, especially Meta will make ton of money. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Then later, they can start charging or controlling access. If that happens, it’s not open-source anymore — it’s just bait. And here’s the real twist: most people can’t afford expensive GPUs, so they rent from cloud giants like AWS or Google. That’s where the real money flows. On the surface, it feels like freedom… but behind the scenes, the same big players are still running the game.
