Ola & Uber strike drama in my area lately 🚨 Faced it twice this week and it’s honestly frustrating. First time — booked an Ola, ride got accepted, and instantly the driver called saying there’s a strike going on and they’re not accepting rides from the app. He offered to take me but at a higher fare per km. I said no, told him to cancel... ended up booking Rapido instead. Cab came without any drama. No strike talk. Smooth. Next day — grandparents had to catch a train so I booked an Ola again (thinking maybe it was a one-time issue). Different driver, same story. Strike, higher fare, "cancel it from your end please." This time I had to agree because it was urgent. But guess what — Ola charged me ₹50 cancellation fee. Like seriously? I’m the one being forced to bend, and I still get charged? Tried deleting my Ola account out of frustration, and now they’re saying I can't until there’s “no pending action.” Great. I'm planning to raise a proper grievance now — I have the call recordings too. Because this isn't just a bad experience, it’s borderline manipulation. All I can say is — Rapido has won both riders' and customers’ trust. Meanwhile Ola & Uber seem to be losing both sides — customers AND their own drivers are turning their back on them. Makes me wonder — are Ola & Uber even aware this is happening? Or are they just watching it burn silently?
