🚀 Sequoia Capital’s Pitch Deck Format The 10 slides that could get you funded. In early-stage fundraising, your deck is your weapon. Before the investor hears you, they read you. No meeting = no money. Here’s what Sequoia says you need: 👇 1. Title Slide Company name + a one-liner that explains what you do. Make it stick. 2. Company Purpose A single, clear sentence describing your business. (Only 1 in 15 get this right, says Sequoia’s Jim Goetz.) 3. Problem What pain does your customer (or their customer) feel? How are they solving it today? 4. Solution How does your product make life better? Where does it “live”: app, API, platform? Show use cases. 5. Market Size Break it down: TAM = Total Available Market SAM = Served Available Market SOM = Share of Market Do bottom-up math, not just guesstimates. 6. Why Now? What changed recently that makes your startup make sense now? Trend? Tech? Behavior? 7. Competition Who else is in the space? How are you different (and better)? 8. Business Model How do you make money? Pricing, LTV, CAC, sales channels, early customer list (if any). 9. Team Founders, operators, advisors. Why you are the ones to win this market. 10. Financials P&L, burn rate, runway, cap table, fundraising ask & terms. - Remember: Fundraising decks aren’t for explaining everything. They’re to get a meeting. Then you tell the story.
